0
A small wading bird of about 15.7in (40cm) for a weight of 5.6 to 7oz (160 to 200g), the Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) moves quickly and with great strides on its long reddish pink legs. It continually wades through the water of the wetlands forming its habitat in search of its preys. Well adapted to night vision, it can feed day and night.
