The Tellure Mining Park in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines offers to explore a via ferrata in an underground gallery of the former silver mine of Saint-Jean Engelsbourg. This course, which combines climbing and caving, is unique in Alsace and the first of its kind in France. The equipment necessary for mine exploration is provided: cap and helmet with headlamp, overalls, gloves. The temperature underground is about 50°F (10°C) all year round. The rock face is equipped with cables, steps, walkways, ladders and even a zip line.
