Into the railroad world

The Cité du Train in Mulhouse walks its visitors through the significant history of the rail in France and its impact on everyday life. Twenty-seven locomotives and wagons are on display within its corridors. To recreate yesteryear's atmosphere, light and sound accompaniments complete the exhibits. Six themes illustrate the golden age of French railways: the railroad and the holidays, the railroad and the mountain, the official trains, the railroad and the war, the railroad workers, and the universe of travel.
