From one garden to another

At first his early childhood home and later dedicated to summer stays, the Les Rhumbs villa in Granville, named after the quarters of the compass rose, is imbued with the memory of Christian Dior. Every inch of the garden, well sheltered from the harsh winds of the English Channel, is the result of a calculated project by the couturier and his mother, Madeleine. The Belle Époque-style ironwork in the winter garden illustrates how important the view of the outside garden remained in the eyes of the Dior family.
