Curious reindeer

Real wild reindeers are hard to find these days in Scandinavia but we were lucky to come across this reindeer, most likely belonging to a Sami Reindeer Herder, on the border between Norway and Sweden where we headed to explore a hiking trail by mountainbike.
Did you know that also the female reindeers have antlers? And that the shed them every year? This curious reindeer was studying us as it must have been the first time it saw someone on a bike in this remote region. Pretty awesome encounter!
