Since 1921, the factory founded by René Lalique in Wingen-sur-Moder, in Alsace, has been perpetuating traditional know-how. Since its creation, it has been the only Lalique production site in the world. In the cold glass workshop, the piece undergoes a series of manual operations that account for two thirds of the time spent on production. The uniqueness of the Lalique glassworks lies in the meticulous work of retouching, sculpting and finishing. During the manufacturing process, a piece is checked at least ten times and may be eliminated for a defect that is sometimes difficult to detect.
