La charrette amène les cannes à sucre coupées qui sont mises dans les containers des gros camions appelés cachalots. D’où vient se terme cachalot ? Dans années 60 un camion rempli de cannes à sucre se retrouve accidenté le même jour que l’échouage d’un cachalot une erreur de titre dans le journal indiquera accident de cachalot le terme est alors resté dans la parole collective
