In the North of Cote d’Or, between Dijon and Corgoloin, Côte de Nuits is the northernmost region in Europe to make such high-quality red wines. Its vineyards stretch over a narrow strip of hillsides, 200 to 1,000 metres wide, exposed to the East. The annual production of 8.5 million bottles is composed of red wines at 89%. The Côte de Nuits includes 10 Villages appellations, 140 Premiers Crus, 23 red Grands Crus and one white Grand Cru that represent 10% of the Côte’s surface area.
