Fatu Hiva is the most isolated island of the Marquesas. In the North, Hanavave vale shelters a fairytale spot preserved from any human interaction: Virgins bay. Its rocky pikes arising out of nature is what inspired the name given by the first navigators: penis bay. Missionaries re-baptized it Virgins Bay.
