Coral potatoes

Coral reefs are closely related to the natural erosion of islands as they develop on the underwater slopes of volcanoes, by shallow depths to capture enough light. From the sky, we can clearly see the coral potatoes in the transparent waters of the Raivavae lagoon. They dot the sandbanks accumulated on the lagoon side of the barrier reef. They are massive slow-growing species adapted to this environment.
