The copper still which appears in the foreground of this photo and the oak barrel displayed in the courtyard of the 'Fontaines Parfumées' in Grasse remind us that the French cooperage contributes to the fame of French luxury, just like perfumery. As the barrel enhances the wines and helps them to grow without disguising nor dominating them, the still enriches the water vapor with essential oils which will be the basis of perfumes.
