Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) is one of the most famous and well-known medicinal plants since ancient times. This plant with many virtues is part of the Boraginaceae family and is used as well in poultices as in infusions and mother tinctures. Among its many properties, comfrey is healing, anti-inflammatory, and softening. It is also known to have astringent virtues in internal use, calming cramps or osteoarthritis.
