Once considered rough and simplistic, linen is experiencing a revival in the textile industry today. The approach of its cultivation and the environmental awakening of consciences have made it more and more interesting. Linen's arrival in the world of haute couture in recent years also had a lot to do with it. As a natural, environmentally-friendly, and entirely biodegradable product, linen today benefits from a good reputation and an increasing demand. The Terre de Lin cooperative, established in Saint-Pierre-le-Viger in the Seine-Maritime department, is the leader in international linen production with 15%.
