Frontignan is a town of around 23,000 inhabitants located on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea by the Étang de Thau (Thau pond) in the Hérault department. It benefits from 4.35 miles (7 km) of coastline and is renowned worldwide for its muscats wines. Frontignan is crossed by the Canal du Rhône, and its Saint-Paul church built between the 12th and 14th centuries in the old city center is listed as a Historical Monument.
