The town of Villefranche-sur-Mer extends in the area of the Parc de la Grande Corniche between sea level and Mont Leuze, its highest point, at 1,886 ft (575 m) of altitude. Its territory is crossed by the three corniches that connect Nice to Menton and the Italian border, as well as by the Marseille-Ventimiglia railway line. Villefranche-sur-Mer's coast houses the Port de la Santé, a fishing port with a ferry terminal, and the Port de la Darse, a former military arsenal transformed into a marina.
