Communication of the musher with his dogs
0
0
Mushers use verbal communication to give simple orders to the pack. They choose between the international language and their own language and resort to
very short words that the dogs easily distinguish such as, in international language, 'haw' to go left, 'gee' to go right, 'ok' to go ahead or, in French, ‘droite’, ‘gauche’, ‘doucement’… The communication with the dogs also involves small whistles, encouragements, congratulations and the permanent control of the emotions or the stress of the musher that the dogs perceive immediately by his intonations.
