Born in 1947 in Italian Piedmont, Giuseppe Penone bases his work on nature, which is the core of all his creations. He compares his work Indistinti Confini to a tightrope walker performing on uncertain ground. Seeking to surprise, as he usually does, Penone takes the gamble of fusing cast iron with marble, two elements that are not really fusible. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the contemporary art center of Pompidou-Metz entrusted its forum to his work.
