A permanent collection since May 27, 2017, the Couleurs sur la Plage (Colors on the Beach) project has helped to color Le Havre's famous beach huts. This work was produced for the Le Havre graphic design festival Une Saison Graphique (A Graphic Season) in 2017 by designer Karel Martens. Each year, the cabins appear again on the beach, bringing with them the promise of the return of sunny days and summer entertainment. They perpetuate a tradition well anchored in the habits of Le Havre's inhabitants since the beginning of the seaside history of the city in the 19th century.
