Coffee cultivation reviving

The Northern province of Grande-Terre is currently pursuing a reviving policy of a coffee cultivation respectful of the Kanak custom and its social and land organization. The East coast brings together most of the robusta producers practicing manual harvesting on small plots and providing 90% of the annual production which stagnates at 6 tonnes, far from the 1939 record production of 2,350 tonnes.
