A coalition of brothers
1
0
Unlike females when they become fertile, young males of the same litter stay together for the best part of their life, and form a coalition. Outside mating periods and meal times, there is not really any hierarchy and not so much aggressive behaviors between the members of the coalition.
However it seems that a male may decide about the moves, choose the preys, initiate hunts and mate more easily. The dominant male decides to move, chooses the preys, initiates the hunts and mates if they encounter a female in heat.
