In Honduras, the second largest Barrier Reef in the world is visible from shore because it almost entirely surrounds the Roatán island. Dazzling arrays of corals provide homes and food to hundreds of fish species. Parrotfish and turtles maintain these lush gardens: they graze the seaweeds, which would otherwise smother the reef.
