The exceptional variety of the New Caledonian flora makes the identification of each species even more difficult. This one resembles Cloezia Floribunda, a species of the Myrtaceae family present throughout the southern part of Grande-Terre in the open forests and ligno-herbaceous scrubs on alluvial soils and ultramafic substrates. For instance, the Myrtaceae family alone has about 5950 species divided into some 132 genera... hence the difficulty !
