On the Corsican coast, the maritime influence and the relief regulate the temperatures and contribute to the Mediterranean climate : mild and rainy in winter and hot and dry in summer. Along the coasts, the sunshine is very good in summer when the clear sky prevails but it is not very high from November to February (4 to 5h/d in Ajaccio) because of the crossing of the Atlantic depressions.
