Cliffs of great biodiversity

Seen from the sea, the Côte d'Albâtre (Alabaster Coast) appears as a long wall of white cliffs, interspersed with a few valleys where villages have settled. They are sometimes more than 328 ft (100 m) high and alternate layers of chalk and dark flint. Paths cross their heights and reveal a whole biodiversity. Amid woolly ragworts, sea cabbages, red fescues, and gorses, walkers can come across seagulls, gulls or fulmars, cormorants, and peregrine falcons.
