The fight against pollution which deteriorates our environment and threatens animal species is an integral part of Te mana o te moana's mission. The degradation times of plastic waste at sea vary from several years to hundreds of years, consequences that will affect future generations. As such, the association regularly organizes waste collection campaigns in Moorea. Last November 18, for example, accompanied by the association Les bourdons de Moorea, a dozen people cleaned up the area around the ring road. These waste collection campaigns are also an opportunity to educate the population about the importance of throwing waste in dedicated bins.
