The 1970s saw the emergence of the concept of urban furniture. The GHM foundry in Sommevoire, in the Haute-Marne region of France, has continued the production of timeless models and is developing a new contemporary range in parallel. In 1995, GHM began to produce line support masts for tramways. From the outset, the company has been involved in prestigious projects in Paris (Alexandre-III bridge, Guimard aedicules for the metro, Wallace fountains) and throughout the world. It produces collections of cast iron, aluminium and steel lampposts, as well as urban furniture.
