Choice of pairs

In a good team, the musher must be able to have a palette of dogs of various characters and talents that will allow him to face all the situations. If the positioning of each dog is linked to very tangible criteria (in the lead, the most attentive dogs ; closer to the sled, the most powerful dogs and in the center a group of followers), the choice of the pairs for each rank is crucial. Thus, it is interesting to place a young dog alongside an older training dog who will pass on his experience to him and to take into account the affinities of the dogs : the side-by-side positioning of two dogs who get along well will motivate them whereas two enemies could fight.
