A rare spot, the Cheetah is the fastest land animal and lives in the open African grasslands. Always alert and active day and night this wonderful lady was taking a few 15 second mini-naps before setting out on a hunt. Cheetahs live in solitary and are the fastest land animals. With their streamlined bodies they accelerate to 120 km/h within seconds. After a successful kill they need to eat their prey fast as lions and hyenas can easily chase them off their prey.
