Cheetah : a diurnal hunter
1
0
Cheetahs reduce the risk of having their preys stolen by hunting by daytime, while other large carnivores hunt at night. The approach can last several hours until they are close enough, less than 164ft (50m), to launch the attack. The race lasts less than a minute, usually 20 seconds, and if the cheetah sees that its prey will escape, it abandons the pursuit to limit its loss of energy.
