Torch in glassmaking
5
0
The torch is used in glassmaking to work and sculpt shapes and decorations in the glass made malleable by the action of the flame. The torch temperature is adapted to the glass used : lead crystal, soda-lime glass or borosilicate glass. When the glass begins to melt, the master glassmaker stretches it, turns it, massages it, spins it until he gives it the desired shape. The torch is also used to solder the glass and add material.
