1
0
A brown-coated on the dorsal part although lighter on the belly and chest monkey, the Chacma baboon has a long, hairless muzzle reminiscent of the dog’s. Its face is also hairless and its close eyes are surmounted by a prominent eyebrow. It sees in color. The canines of males are as long as the lion’s.
It has a tail, about 19.6 inches (50 cm) long and a reddish rash that swells in estrus females. Its hands are equipped with an opposable thumb to grab food and carry it to its mouth. Omnivorous, it feeds on wild fruits, berries, insects, scorpions and meat.
