St. Savior's Cathedral is one of the main Russian Orthodox churches in St. Petersburg, Russia. Construction began in 1883 during the reign of Alexander III as a memorial to his father Alexander II. The work progressed slowly and was finally completed in 1907 during the reign of Nicholas II.
