The Tufs waterfall of Planches-près-Arbois in Jura is located near the managed forest biological reserve of the 'Reculée du Cul-des-Forges', created at the end of the 1990s to preserve this fragile biotope through a thoughtful management of its forest stands and to promote the nesting of the peregrine falcon. With an initial area of 23.22 hectares located in the communal forest of Arbois, the reserve has since become integral - that is to say in free evolution - and has seen its surface area double.
