La Griffe de sorcière est une plante grasse rampante de la famille des Aizoacées. Ses fleurs ont un diamètre de 5 à 12 centimètres. Elles ont de nombreux pétales linéaires. Cette plante, importée pour la stabilisation des sols au 20ème siècle, pousse sur les sols sableux des dunes littorales. On la trouve aussi sur les falaises ou rochers du littoral.
