Quarrels around a carcass are frequent and depend on the size of the catch and the hunger of each. When the savannah is full of preys, they all eat enough, even cubs, sometimes at the same time. In the dry season, when the food resources are much lower, the group argues for any carcass and mothers can even repel cubs.
