A 1.6 to 13ft (0.5 to 4m) high liana plant, Oxera neriifolia is a species of the Verbenaceae family endemic to New Caledonia. The bark of its slender trunk is covered with abundant, easily identifiable dark brown lenticels. Its leathery and shiny leaves are narrow and elongated. They grow alternately along its branches. Its about 4 inches (10cm) long flowers recall those of orchids.
