Heading for the canals of Burgundy

0
Burgundy has around 621 miles (1,000 km) of waterways - divided into three canals and a river - managed by the 'Voies Navigables de France' in Burgundy. Two canals are located in the Yonne department and easily accessible from Joigny : the Burgundy canal which connects the Yonne river from Migennes to the Saône river at Saint-Jean-de-Losne (Côte-d'Or) and the Nivernais canal which connects Auxerre to Saint-Léger-des-Vignes (Nièvre) where it joins the lateral canal to the Loire river.
