Cap Roussin, at the center of this aerial view, is the northernmost point of Maré Island in the Loyalty archipelago. It separates the North Bay to the west from the Allier Bay to the east. This northern tip of the island is occupied by the Kaewatine tribe and bordered by the beaches of Ceni (in the background), Buhnetine (in the foreground) and Ekure accessible only on foot in 2 to 4 hours walks back and forth.
