The Nouméan swimmers gather every year in March to cross the bay between Anse Vata and the Canard Islet. This round trip race of 7874ft (2400m) brings together all categories of swimmers from juniors to seniors, with or without fins, licensed or not. The fastest swimmers complete it in less than half an hour.
