The population of wild Canada Geese has tremendously increased in Vancouver during the past few years. They are an introduced species that was brought here for wildlife viewing and hunting in the seventies. During the years, they have adapted to the city's environment because they have a constant source of food in grass and other foods that humans offer. Replacing eggs with infertile decoys is the city's attempt to control population without resorting to a cull.
