Lors du butinage l’abeille plonge sa trompe à l’intérieur du pistil de la fleur et aspire le nectar => on le distingue bien sur cette photo.
Elle stocke ensuite le nectar dans son jabot (petite poche qui se trouve dans son estomac).
Une partie du pollen reste collé sur ses pattes et il se dépose sur le pistil des autres fleurs qu’elle butine, permettant ainsi de féconder les fleurs. C’est la pollinisation.
