Burgundy wine is appreciated abroad. About one in two bottle is sold for export, 22% in the European Union and 25% outside the EU. The top export destinations are the UK, USA, Japan and Canada. In 2020, despite the health crisis, Burgundy wines, white wines in the lead, have maintained their growth in export volume. More than 90 million bottles have been sold, an increase of 0.8% compared to 2019.
