The Bugatti Grand Sport Type 55 embodied a further step towards the dream car, combining the qualities of a great sports car with elegance. It could reach 112 mi/h (180 km/h), and was capable of sudden accelerations. The Type 55's cast-aluminum wheels had fins oriented to the right or the left, depending on the side of the car. It was, therefore, necessary to take two spare wheels. This model is a flower of the Chefs-d'œuvre (Masterpieces) area of the Cité de l'Automobile's museum.
