At the end of 1909, Ettore Bugatti and his family left Cologne for the town of Molsheim, near Strasbourg. Its geographical location and its skilled workers recruiting ground suited Bugatti's ambitions perfectly. In 1910, aged only 28, he set up his workshop in a former dyeing plant and started producing the Type 13 model. An extensive collection of his cars is on display at the Cité de l'Automobile, in Mulhouse.
