Grinding and conditioning

The last two stages in the transformation of ocher consist of grinding and conditioning. Different ochres are first mixed to obtain the desired colors before being sent to a pendulum mill that grinds them to 50 µ (micrometers). Paper bags of 44 or 55 lbs (20-25 kg) are usually used for packaging, but other conditioning possibilities are available.
