The Explorers
Located to the north of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and the Hautes-Alpes department at the border with Italy, Briançonnais is part of the French Alps. It is an essentially mountainous region crossed by the upper valleys of the Durance, Guisane, Vallouise and Clarée. Its economy traditionally oriented towards mountain agriculture and breeding is now supplemented by winter and summer tourism.
