The Domaine de Villarceaux alone offers a historical journey from the Middle Ages (11th century), and the Renaissance (16th century) to the reign of Louis XV (18th century). It is located in the Vexin, next to the village of Chaussy (Val d’Oise). Its many gardens, all different, have received the label ‘Jardin remarquable’. Among them, the ‘parterre sur l’eau’, made up of twelve boxwood labyrinths in Renaissance style, has been restored by the Ile-de-France region’s green spaces agency, which is responsible for the maintenance and protection of the Villarceaux park. The parterre runs alongside the Vinette pond and the eight-spout pond.
