The town of Saint-Tropez is bordered by 7.4 mi (12 km) of coastline punctuated by six public beaches and many small natural or artificial private beaches. The public beaches start in the west with the large Bouillabaisse beach, bordering Gassin. The beaches of La Ponche and La Fontanette extend all along the historic village, while Graniers beach is located after the marine cemetery. The long Canebiers beach border the eponymous bay and is extended by the Moutte and Salins beaches, at the eastern end of the peninsula.
