Lagoon edge

The Rangiroa atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago is more oriented towards diving than towards seaside relaxation. There is indeed no natural sand beach on the Avatoru chain of islets. Only a thin strip of sand has been laid out for the guests of the Kia Ora hotel. Elsewhere, swimming is possible but the edge of the lagoon is composed of coral gravel or coral blocks.
