Although seven grape varieties can be used to make champagne, the Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir varieties account for more than 98% of the production. Maison Marguet cultivates 40% of its plots with white Chardonnay, which produces a ‘blanc de blancs’ champagne. Chardonnay B. is probably the most widely used grape variety in the world for making white wine. It is much appreciated for the fact that it gives a highly aromatic and fruity wine. In France, this grape variety is grown almost everywhere, however it is particularly present in Champagne and Burgundy regions.
